Classifying Normal Populations With Respect To A Control Using Sample Quasi-ranges On Censored Data
Abstract
This paper is concerned with classifying a set of k normal populations by their variances as better or worse than a control population. A rule based on sample quasi-ranges using censored data from these populations is given and the constants needed to implement the rule are tabulated. These constants are compared numerically with those needed for a similar rule based on the sample variances. Some related problems are also discussed. © 1990 by American Sciences Press, Inc.
