Selecting Uniform Populations Using Type Ii Censored Data
Abstract
This paper deals with the selection of l best of k independent one-parameter uniform scale parameter populations. A procedure based on the Gupta-Sobel statistic which uses Type II censored data from each population is given. A related problem of the interval estimation of an ordered parameter is considered. The constants needed to solve the two problems based on exact methods and normal approximations are tabulated in selected cases. © 1982 Taylor & Francis Group, LLC.
