On Structural Identification
Abstract
A direct method of deciding whether or not the unknown parameters of a dynamical system can be determined uniquely from an input-output experiment is presented. The method relies on the fact that a completely controllable and completely observable system is parameter identifiable if and only if it is not algebraically equivalent to any other system. © 1981.
