Abstract
"In this investigation the application of an orifice meter to fan testing was studied and evaluated. An orifice meter was designed and was installed in a centrifugal fan duct. Measurements were checked and compared with those of a standard pitot-tube traverse and were found to be in very close agreement. It is suggested that a meter of this type could easily be adapted not only to laboratory work but also to field tests"--Abstract, p. ii
