Abstract
"The current carried by electrically-sprayed glycerine was measured, and an empirical relation was obtained for single-jet spraying, given by I = KIV0.45M0.55̇d-0.18 where V is the electrode voltage, Ṁ the mass-flow rate, and d the electrode spacing, the electrodes being a capillary and collecting plate. Peculiarities of the current waveform, including an exponentially rising envelope, for unstable-jet spraying and multiple-jet spraying, were recorded"--Abstract, page ii.
