Masters Theses
Abstract
"The tungsten bronzes are a series of substitutional solid solutions of alkali or alkaline earth metatungstates and tungstic oxides. They are not really metallic alloys or intermetallic compounds but they possess some marked metallic properties such as metallic luster, good electric conductivity, high specific gravity, etc. For this reason the name of "bronzes" is applied to them"--Introduction, page 1.
