Abstract

"At present there exist two quite distinct fields in fluid flow in pipes, the one in water supply and the other in the petroleum industry. It is the purpose of this paper to discuss the various pipeline flow formulas as used in both fields and to correlate the exponential type formula which is much used in practice with the Nikuradse curves obtained in the laboratory"--A Brief Historical Review, page 5.
