Abstract

"The geological problem existing in the Silver Mine area, the relationship of mineralization to structure, particularly to faulting and jointing, was pointed out to the writer by Prof. O. R. Grawe. Several geologists have made reconnaisance [sic] surveys of the whole region, but so far no detailed geologic map has been published of the immediate area. Prof. Grawe pointed out that such a map would be of value in the better understanding of the area and would be especially useful in the event that another national emergency required the development of all possible sources of tungsten"--Introduction, Selection of the Problem, page 1.
