Abstract
"The tests reported in this paper were performed in an effort to secure data concerning characteristic properties of Welded Wire Reinforcement Fabric. This fabric has been used, up to the present time, primarily for temperature reinforcement. Limited attention has been focused on its potentialities for use as main tension reinforcing steel, particularly concrete highway slabs and floor slab reinforcement for buildings. The manufacturers of the Welded Wire Reinforcement Fabric believe their product can be used to better advantage as main tension reinforcement in reinforced concrete structures both from an economic and structural viewpoint, than structural steel reinforcing bars"--Object of Research, page 6.
