Abstract
"A procedure for scaling and operating a laboratory model for the purpose of studying fluid crossflow between zones of different permeability is presented. A modified existing model is used to simulate conditions for three dimensional, incompressible, two-phase flow through a two-layer, unconsolidated, homogeneous porous medium.
Eight tests were made to show effects on crossflow between the zones. Qualitative results indicate crossflow from the high to the low permeability zone for various perforation ratios and mobility ratios"--Abstract, p. ii
