Computer automated dental bar design for removable implant-based dentures
Abstract
"An attempt has been made in the past by our research group for a dental bar design, and "Dentabyte" software was developed by developing and integrating four main algorithms: the gingival surface reconstruction algorithm, the bar-cylinder generation algorithm, the connecting bar generation algorithm, and the dental bar shaping algorithm, to design a dental bar with four implants. This thesis presents an improved and expanded dental bar design process and algorithms used to develop software for the design of a dental bar with three or more implants. The software can generate a STL file for the fabrication of a dental bar by either NC machining or rapid prototyping techniques"--Abstract, page iii.
