Abstract

"The aim of the research is to create an Argumentation module for Conflict Resolution in a Web-based Collaborative CAD system. With the dramatic changes in computing power and wider availability of software tools for design and production, designers' working from different locations has become a worldwide trend. In a Collaborative environment conflicts arise quite frequently. Such conflicts can be resolved easily if the designers are located in the same geographical location. But problem arises when the designers are located at different geographical locations and are working in a Web-based Collaborative environment. In such cases, conflicts can be resolved through argumentation discourse"--Abstract, page iii.
