Abstract
"The preparation and characterization of three new Schiff base complexes of [N,N'-bis(3-methoxysalicylidene)-o-phenylenediamine] Nickel (II), [N,N'-bis(salicylidene)-3,4-diaminotoluene] Nickel (II) and Copper (II) Schiff base complex produced form 4(5) -Imidazolecarboxaldehyde and ß-alanine are reported. The X-ray crystal structures of these three complexes reveal that < 1 > the two nickel complexes are tetradentated in a square-plane environment and the copper complex is pentadentated in a roughly square-pyramidal environment. < 2 > All the three complexes show 1:1 stoichiometry"--Abstract, page iii.
