Development of computer business model and planner for primary processing in lumber production
Abstract
"A business model of lumber production is developed, which gives the user an opportunity to examine alternatives and provide the capability of executing scenarios using alternative activities and process flow paths. The main entities of hardwood primary processing namely landowner, logger, sawmill and the kiln are still very fragmented and are sometimes unaware of details of the complete production process. The business model given here provides an opportunity to participate in the production process to enhance efficiency and profit"--Abstract, page iv.
