Masters Theses
Abstract
"The Problem of the Thesis: A series of experiments have been made in the Metallurgical. Engineering Department of the Missouri School of Mines and Metallurgy for the investigation of titanium diffusion coatings. The technique of applying the titanium diffusion coatings on iron and steel is still in the experimental stage. A few of the physical properties and chemical compositions of such coatings have been determined, but the structures have not yet been extensively studied. As the correlations of the structures and the desirable properties are valuable for improving the quality or titanium diffusion coatings on iron and steel, an investigation was undertaken to explore these structures by metallographic methods"--Introduction, pages 2-3
