A study of in vitro and in vivo toxicity of 3-nitro-L-tyrosine

Author

Abstract

"3-Nitro-L-tyrosine (3NT) is an oxidized amino acid that is formed by nitric oxide-derived species and has been implicated in the pathology of diverse human diseases. Although 3NT is produced in abundant concentrations under pathological conditions, its toxic effects are unknown. In this research, the in vitro and in vivo toxicity of 3NT was studied."--Abstract, page iii.
