Masters Theses
Examination of exopolysaccharides in heavy metal laden wastewater biofilm.
Abstract
"In this study, we hypothesized copper can be biosorbed or bioaccumulated by biofilm EPS and exopolysaccharides play a major role in copper removal. Based on the above background, we wanted to study how well a biofilm system will remove copper. Moreover, we wanted to study copper removal mechanism by monitoring the change of exopolysaccharides components in biofilm EPS during Cu removal."--page 3.
