Description

The paint can problem, introduced in calculus, explores the issue of a revolved surface with a surface area greater that its volume. In this interpretation, the paint can does not hold enough paint to cover the outside. Other interpretations include Gabriel’s Horn and a cake which cannot be fully covered with icing.
