Description
This is a hand blown soda lime silicate glass bowl blown in the hot shop here at Missouri S&T. The design possesses an ephemeral air (like wind) using the white chaotic wrap, while "cherry blossoms" are formed using the pink frits. Overall, the deep red and design elements portray a strong oriental inspiration. Made as a personal challenge to create a bowl that might surpass my parents' wedding bowl.
