Description
This painting was completed en plein air, which means I painted it outdoors on location. I sat on a bench under a shade tree at Marguerite Bray Conservation Area in Rolla and painted my view including the shadows on the grass and the texture of the water. I enjoy painting en plein air because the impressionistic nature captures an authentic condition of the scene that is unique to the style of painting.
