Two International Symposia on Low Cost Housing Problems were held in 1970 and 1972, sponsored by the University of Missouri--Rolla (now Missouri University of Science and Technology):
- International Symposium on Low Cost Housing Problems Related to Urban Renewal and Development (1970: Oct. 8-9, Rolla, MO)
- 2nd International Symposium on Lower-Cost Housing Problems (1972: Apr. 24-26, St. Louis, MO)
Other sponsors included the University’s Civil Engineering Department and Extension Division, the American Society of Civil Engineers, and the National Science Foundation.
Fifty-one technical papers were included in the first proceedings, addressing various aspects of housing including social and economic environmental aspects. The second proceedings include sixty-one papers addressing pertinent factors related to housing which should be considered in the planning process, using an Integrated Systems Approach.
Within each year, the full proceedings of each conference are presented first, followed by the full-text of each article. Use the "Jump to" function to quickly find the 1970 Conference.
