Abstract
A new small-scale test, concrete block bending test, was carried out to determine the amount of shear stress and the slip distribution at the interface between the steel sheet and the concrete. The result was then used in the finite element analysis to predict the behaviour of composite slabs. Good agreement has been shown between the analytical results and measured results from the full-scale composite slabs.
