Abstract
This paper presents several aspects of engineering performances including satisfactory, unsatisfactory but later remedied, and failure experiences in the fields of building foundation, underground construction, and slope stability problems. These projects were completed in China in the past decade. Five case records of performance are used as illustrative examples. Further research work are finally suggested.
