Abstract

Vertical and horizontal vibration tests were conducted on a 45 cm. diameter concrete driven pile. The pile length was 17 m. The response of the pile was computed following the commonly used approach of Novak (1974, 1977) and Novak and El-Sharnouby (1983). A comparison was made of the predicted and observed response, the results of which are discussed in the paper.
