Tests Of Two-parameter Exponentialty Against Three-parameter Weibull Alternatives
Abstract
Two tests are proposed for hypotheses concerning the Weibull shape parameter when the location and scale parameters are unknown. A test based upon maximum likelihood estimation, which relies on existing results for the two-parameter Weibull distribution, is given. A simpler test which makes use of the tabulated chi-square distribution is also given. The tests apply to both complete and censored samples. © 1975 Taylor & Francis Group, LLC.
