Evaluating the Performance of the Genetic Neuro Scheduler using Constant as Well as Changing Crossover and Mutation Rates
Abstract
The Genetic Neuro Scheduler uses Genetic Algorithms to find effective production schedules for Job Shop Problems. Experiments have shown that the used crossover operator limits the search for good solutions. These experiments and possible improvements are demonstrated in this paper. © 1997 Elsevier Science Ltd.
