Natural intelligence in design and manufacturing
Abstract
This paper describes a hybrid intelligent system to implement and experiment with the "automated factory". The objective of the project is to develop and test a new method of automating design and manufacturing by utilizing natural intelligence or more specifically, techniques such as fuzzy logic, Fuzzy Associative Memory (FAM), Backpropogation neural networks (BP), and Adaptive Resonance Theory (ART1). © 1992.
