Cluster Management—an Organization For The '90s
Abstract
Driven by a need to remain competitive and a need to stay close to customers and markets, an organizational revolution is underway in U.S. corporations. A new, team-oriented organizational format known as the cluster organization focuses on staying close to customers, responding to their needs with agility, quickness, and innovation. The need for middle management is being reduced by the advent and adaption of information technology, which allows a communication-driven approach to running organizations. © 1991 Taylor & Francis Group, LLC.
