XML Representations for System-Of-System in Distriubted Modeling
Abstract
The proposed modeling approach aims to help generate distributed simulation constructs that are portable among multiple software systems using a neutral XML representation. Since the target systems being modeled comprise of various independent sub-systems, a system-of-systems (SoS) approach is employed. a manufacturing cell is employed as a simple example to outline the object model and component diagrams. XML representations are constructed based on these models which are then used to create simulation constructs for distributed simulations.
