A Framework to Develop Multi-Agent Architectures for Enterprises
Abstract
Competition in the global market demands enterprises to be agile and responsive, thus directing strategic partnerships with other agencies; this has lead to a dynamic and uncertain environment. in such a dynamic environment it is required that enterprises coordinate, cooperate and exhibit decentralized control, this can be achieved by Multi-agent architectures of information systems. the dynamic nature of the environment demands a holistic perspective to develop multi-agent architectures. Many proposed approaches to architect multi-agent architectures for enterprises fail to capture the holistic view. This paper reviews multi-agent architectures and presents a framework, using the Zachman Framework, to capture the holistic view.
