Dynamics of Voltage Instability and Collapse
Abstract
This paper presents a dynamic voltage stability analysis of the effects of time-varying loads. The stability of a power system is shown to be dependent not only on maximum loading levels, but also on the transition of the system from one loading level to another. The inclusion of dynamic loads based on aggregate induction motors is shown to aggravate the stability of the system during transition.
