Abstract
This paper presents a V/f control for permanent magnet synchronous machines which focuses on optimization by minimizing the d-axis current in order to reduce the motor losses and supplied input power. the proposed sensor less method only needs machine terminal signals and does not require any additional motor parameter measurements. Minimization of the d-axis current is accomplished through computed reactive power. © 2012 IEEE.
