Shunt Filter Design for a DC Resonant Link based Vector Controlled Induction Motor Drive
Abstract
This paper considers the performance of a resonant dc link based vector controlled induction motor drive to be used in aerospace applications. In particular, it was found that resonant dc link based drives may suffer from unacceptably large current ripple when being used with extremely high speed machines. A filter design and alternate control algorithm are set forth which alleviate the current ripple concern while at the same time ensuring ideal steady-state performance. © Copyright 1995 Society of Automotive Engineers, Inc.
