Teaching Tool Shows Results through Visualization
Abstract
Many students have difficulty in understanding the concepts and mastering the analytical skills required in their first course in power systems. PowerGraf is a software package being developed to help students learn and make the subject more interesting. The interactive and comprehensive package supplements and enhances the learning process in the classroom, the laboratory, and in the student's self-study. It also serves as a demonstration tool to help instructors explain concepts and solve problems. The package is designed for students with little understanding of power systems, but who need to learn the overall system concepts and design principles.
