Systems and Methods for Single-Element Beam Steering Antennas

Abstract

Systems and methods for single element beam steering antennas are provided. One embodiment includes: a first and second radiating resonant cavities, where the first and second radiating resonant cavities are coupled together; and at least one tunable component; where the first and second radiating resonant cavities, and the at least one tunable component are configured, in combination, to form a beam toward a desired direction, and where the at least one tunable component is configured to set the desired direction by an application of a bias voltage on the at least one tunable component.
