Practical Motivational Strategies and New Thoughts in a Computer Engineering Laboratory
Abstract
The level of motivation determines a student's school success. In order to help students to be successful, we should try to increase their motivation. Efficient motivational strategies promote students' persistent effort and favorable attitudes toward learning. Six motivational strategies were found very effective in the CpE112 Computer Engineering Laboratory course. Plentiful examples are given for each strategy. Several new thoughts are also proposed to improve the course.
