Measurements of Frequency Instabilities and Slow Random Evolution of Inter-Modal Four-Wave Mixing in Few-Mode Fibers
Abstract
Large fluctuations of inter-modal four-wave mixing between the LP01 and LP11 modes of a few-mode fiber are experimentally observed. These fluctuations exhibit strong frequency dependence and can be persistent in time.
