On-line Identification of Static Series Compensator in a Power System Using a RBF Neural Networks
Abstract
An Adaptive neuro-identifier using a radial basis function (RBF) neural network and actual signals is presented in this paper for an on-line identification of a synchronous series compensator (SSSC) with energy storage devices, which is connected to a power system. Simulation results show that the proposed neuro-identifier continuously tracks the dynamics of the SSSC and the power network with good precision, and thereby can be used to design an indirect adaptive neuro-controller for the SSSC connected to such power system.
