Abstract

"This dissertation consists of a series of four papers all concerning the electrodeposition of ordered semiconductor metal oxide nanostructures and epitaxial thin films. The first paper describes epitaxial growth of ZnO nanopillars onto Au(100), Au(110) and Au(111) single crystals. The second paper details the electrodeposition of epitaxial Cu₂O films onto Si(001) single crystal. The last two papers focus on the epitaxial deposition of Cu₂O films and nanocrystals with tunable morphologies onto InP(001) single crystals."--Introduction, page 1.
