Dynamic Properties of Concrete under Multi-Axial Loading
Abstract
Large-scale concrete structures, such as long-span bridges, hydraulic dams, and high-rise buildings, have increasingly been exposed to multi-hazard environments in recent years. Understanding the behavior of concrete under earthquake and blast loads becomes more urgent and important in the design of these engineering structures. This book examines the research significance and measurement for the dynamic properties of concrete at high strain rates. The mechanical parameters of concrete under uniaxial dynamic loading conditions were obtained and compared with the static properties that have been widely used in design codes.
