Seismic Response Assessment of Active-Controlled Multi-Story Buildings with Soil-Foundation Influence
Abstract
This paper presents a generalized optimal active control algorithm for seismic structures considering soil-structure interaction. The superstructure is analyzed in time-domain, and boundary element method in frequency-domain is applied to determine the impedance function of the ground system. Numerical examples reveal the significant influence of soil-structure interaction on active-controlled seismic structures.
