Transvaginal Electron Beam Cone Used in Treating an Advanced Squamous Cell Carcinoma of the Cervix
Abstract
The transvaginal electron beam cone technique was employed to deliver an additional or "boost" dose to a bulky stage IV-A squamous cell carcinoma of the cervix treated by definitive radiotherapy techniques. The tumor regressed, the patient remaining free of carcinoma until her death due to myocardial infarction more than two years later.
