Abstract

The first organically templated cadmium sulfates, [C₄N₂H₁₂][CdCl₂SO ₄]·H₂O and [C₄N₂H₁₂]₄[Cd₃Cl ₁₀(SO₄)₂(H₂O)]·3H ₂O, consisting of infinite linear chains and a quasi-2D layer formed by strip-like units respectively, have been synthesized and characterized.
