Low Temperature Specific Heat of Tb₆Mn₂₃ and Ho₆Mn₂₃

Abstract

Specific heat measurements below 20 °K are reported for the rare earth intermetallic compounds Tb6Mr23 and Ho6Mn23. The main purpose of this investigation is to ascentain if the specific heat data of the ''heavy'' rare earth intermetallics shows any evidence for changes in the magnetic spin structures at low temperature.
