Kinetics and Mechanism of the Hydrolysis of Alkoxysilanes

Abstract
We have been investigating the transformations of alkoxy silanes to sol gels and also to silicones. The rates of hydrolysis of para substituted phenyl alkoxy silanes have been determined. The kinetics and mechanism of the reaction are presented.
