A DMSO-based Cleanup Procedure for Determination of PCBs in Waste Oil
Abstract
The selective extraction of aromatic species with dimethylsulphoxide (DMSO) permits accurate (85-95% recovery) and precise (5-10% CV) determination of PCB congeners in hydrocarbon waste oils. The applicability of the method has been evaluated over a concentration range of 50-2000 ppb.
