The Economics of Hybrid Energy Systems
Abstract
The article discusses the economic aspects of hybrid energy systems. Topics discussed include the fuel prices and increase of environmental regulations on hybrid automobiles, efficiency and reduction of carbon dioxide emission of hybridization of conventional and renewable energy, and the Levelized Cost of Electricity (LCOE) for calculating the lifetime electricity generation and lifetime costs.
