The Effect of Stoichiometry on Markov Chain Models for Chemical Reaction Kinetics
Abstract
Complex chemical reactions, when modelled by Markov chains, present certain mathematical peculiarities arising from their stoichiometry. These anomalies are clarified in a generalized fashion and illustrated with the help of a relevant example.
