A Checklist of Moths (Lepidoptera) of Fort Leonard Wood, Missouri
Abstract
This article represents the first survey of Lepidoptera at Fort Leonard Wood military installation recorded to date (Pulaski County, Missouri, USA). Here, we present the results of three years of macrolepidopteran surveys utilizing UV traps, hand collection, and targeted larval surveys. We identified 271 species. Using genetic markers, we identified 22 species of Papaipema at the site; four species were previously unknown and we detected rattlesnake master borer moths (P. eryngii).
