The Extension Of Generalized Root Loci Techniques To The Study Of Synchronous Machines
Abstract
An analytic design tool is developed to allow the synchronous machine designer to evaluate very quickly the effects of changes in the machine geometry and materials on the dynamic performance. The technique is an extension, to the synchronous machine, of the generalized root loci theory, developed originally for induction machines. Use of the technique is illustrated by comparison with results reported in the literature. © 1985.
